As per GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company, Singapore’s e-commerce sector is expected to reach approximately SGD 11 billion in 2025, growing at a CAGR of 16.2% YoY from SGD 8 billion in 2021. In addition, as a percentage of GDP, e-commerce accounted for approximately 1.7% of GDP in 2018, and this proportion is expected to rise to 3.5% in 2030.

In Southeast Asia, Singapore’s B2C e-commerce market is the fourth largest market in the world, with Singapore boasting top-notch e-commerce activity levels. Singapore also has the most sophisticated e-commerce payment infrastructures in place. Its payment systems are stable with an attractive target market for cross-border e-commerce.
